Minister Shannon Fentiman MP announced a significant advancement in healthcare for the Gladstone region; a new nurse-led clinic is set to open in central Gladstone this September. This clinic will enhance local healthcare by offering a variety of essential services free of charge, making healthcare more accessible for all residents.
The new clinic will feature a walk-in model, ensuring that residents can receive care without needing an appointment. Staffed by professional nurses, the clinic will operate during extended hours to better accommodate the community’s needs. It will cater to non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses and place a strong emphasis on women’s healthcare, providing services such as access to contraception, menopause care, and treatment for period pain.
