Young athletes from communities across the Flynn electorate will receive a welcome boost, with more than $34,000 awarded under Round 2 of the Federal Government’s 2025–26 Local Sporting Champions and Local Para Champions programs.
A total of 53 young people have been successful in this round, securing funding to help cover the cost of travelling to and participating in local, state and national sporting championships. The grants are designed to ease the financial pressure on families and ensure more young competitors can pursue opportunities at higher levels of their sport.
