STOCKLAND GLADSTONE EAST MALL TO UNDERGO $4.2 MILLION CARPARK UPGRADE

STOCKLAND GLADSTONE EAST MALL TO UNDERGO $4.2 MILLION CARPARK UPGRADE

Further to the recently completed $5.2 million upgrades to the West Mall, Stockland Gladstone will undergo a $4.2 million upgrade to its East Mall carpark which is scheduled to commence Monday 19 August.

Diana Mitchell, Centre Manager at Stockland Gladstone, said that the centre was looking forward to providing a finished product that will benefit both customers and retailers.

“The East Mall carpark upgrade will enhance the centre’s accessibility and convenience offer by improving the traffic flow to provide customers with more seamless parking, allowing them to connect with our retailers in a faster and easier way.”

The upgrade will include a number of new features, including a lift, improved weather protection, additional shade sails to the upper carpark and more efficient lighting for customer safety.

The improved carpark will also be increasing in the number of disabled and parents with prams spaces, and in an effort to further connect with the community, will introduce for the first time two designated food delivery collection bays.

Ms Mitchell continued, “We are so lucky to be part of such a supportive community and want to ensure that we continue to deliver on a space that our customers feel is accommodating and convenient.”

The upper carpark and Dawson Highway entrance will be closed from Thursday 22 August until Friday 22 November to complete the upgrade. Customers can continue to access the centre via both the Philip St entrances and the West Mall parking near Coles and Kmart will also remain open.

The upgrade will be completed in its entirety by March 2020.

To minimise inconvenience to Stockland Gladstone customers, the scheduled works are proposed to occur in stages and are subject to weather and potential disruptions:

The Dawson Highway entrance will be closed from Thursday 22 August to Sunday 10 November.

The upper deck will be partially closed to customer parking from Friday 30 August, and entirely closed from Tuesday 22 October. It will reopen to customer parking on Friday 22 November.

The upgrade will then recommence on Tuesday 14 January until March 2020.
