Capturing Compassion

Gabriella Martin, the face behind The Gift of The Gab Photography, is a Gladstone based photographer. Gab has studied photography in high school and took a few independent courses which she loved. “I have a family member with similar interests and one of my favourite memories is going out to photograph the sunset with her.”  Gabriella says. She used to take photos of animals and her family but she has never considered it as a profession until recently.

“Early last year I sadly said goodbye to my third born son, my second pregnancy loss, and I unfortunately wasn’t entitled to bereavement photography as I was just a few weeks shy of their requirement. This led to me making the decision to become a bereavement and end of life photographer, going out on my own so that our local families won’t ever be denied services like I was.” For the past year, Gabriella has had the privilege to work with so many amazing clients and continue to build her portfolio. “Having these clients support my work allows me to continue offering all my compassionate services (pregnancy loss, end of life, pet goodbyes) as a pay what you can service.” Gabriella adds.
