HELPING HAND FOR GRASS ROOTS ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVE

The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) has announced the introduction of its Environmental Micro Grants program, providing funding of up to $1,500 to eligible applicants. 

GAWB Chief Operating Officer, Mr John Tumbers, said the aim of the program was to provide funding for environmentally focused projects, programs and activities within the Gladstone community. “Through the Environmental Micro Grants program, we’re aiming to support initiatives that improve environmental outcomes, improve the community’s awareness and understanding of environmental issues and encourage community participation in environmental activities,” Mr Tumbers said. “As a micro grant, funding for each application is capped at $1,500, to ensure we can support the greatest number of initiatives.”
