Gladstone is experiencing steady growth, with new small businesses adding to the energy and character of the region. Among these is Nature’s House Wellness, a locally owned whole food and wellness store that reflects both community spirit and a growing interest in accessible, sustainable health options. Founded by local naturopath Eliza, Nature’s House Wellness brings together organic grocery shopping, refillable products and holistic health support under one roof. The idea behind the business is simple but powerful, to make healthy living more accessible for people in Gladstone without the need to travel to larger cities for quality products or professional guidance.
Eliza’s journey began with her completing a Bachelor of Naturopathy at university before returning home to Gladstone to establish her own clinic, Nature’s House Naturopathy. Over three years, she built a loyal local client base and gained valuable insight into the needs of the community. This experience ultimately inspired her to expand her vision. It has been many years in the making and Eliza describes the process as both challenging and rewarding, with her long held goals gradually becoming reality. A significant step forward came when she was accepted into the Rio Tinto Here for Business program, led by UHY Haines Norton. Over six months, she worked through the foundations of setting up Nature’s House Wellness, gaining practical guidance and confidence to bring her concept to life.
