HRT: Husband Replacement Therapy is Australian author Kathy Lette’s most recent novel. It is a laugh-out-loud romp through the joys and tears of family life.
The main character, Ruby, is usually the sensible one in her family of 3 sisters, but, after a devastating call from her doctor, decides to let fly at everyone she knows at her 50th birthday bash, including her husband who she thinks is having an affair. She decides to immediately shout her sisters a cruise to the South Pacific to try and reconcile their differences, and escape for a while. Little does she know that she has booked them all on a Cougar Cruise, with lots of good-looking young men on offer. What follows is a hilarious sequence of mishaps and toe-curling adventures, along with a dash of romance and poignant moments.
