A new welder funded through Powerlink’s Community Grant Program is doing more than just improving craftsmanship at the Gladstone Men’s Shed — it’s playing a key role in strengthening social connections and supporting men’s mental health across the region.
For more than 12 years, the self-funded Shed has provided a safe and welcoming space for men of all backgrounds to come together, share skills, and work on meaningful community projects. From handcrafted toys to restored furniture and custom signage for a new national park, the Shed’s projects are as diverse as its members.
