Gladstone bakers have long enjoyed coming together to learn valuable culinary skills, meet new people through their hobby and try their hand in competitions around the region. The Gladstone branch of the Cake Decorators’ Association is no different, offering a night of demonstrations once a month where hobbyists can come together to learn and teach each other about the joys of baking.
Established in 1981, the Queensland Cake Decorators’ Association Inc. (QCDA) is the parent body for 17 branches across Queensland. Made up of hobby cake decorators, home bakers, cake professionals and teachers, QCDA promotes and shares knowledge in the art of cake decorating, and anyone of any age with an interest in decorating and baking is welcome, no matter their level of skill.
