Award-winning Gladstone location, Spinnaker Park, is celebrating 25 years as one of the best premier recreational areas in the city, officially opened in 2001 by the Gladstone Ports Corporation. The park provided a safe, recreational vantage point to observe and enjoy both the natural beauty of Gladstone Harbour and the growing maritime commerce being conducted on it.
Featuring two and a half kilometres of educational walking tracks along the ocean wall, through native wetlands and ponds, Spinnaker Park has been a top destination for walking, riding and rollerblading. The beached cove has been a wonderful swimming spot for families on warm days, while the barbeque and picnic spots have hosted many a party and get-together.
