Rotary Club of Gladstone fired up their BBQs for breakfast and local organisation Ride4Lives members geared up, ready for their annual Suicide Awareness ride in early September, encouraging the community to come out for a day of fun, conversation and awareness against suicide.
Participants arrived for registration at 7 am in the CQUniversity car park, ready to ride in the City Awareness Lap – taking them through Gladstone to promote social connection to their cause. From there, riders could choose whether to head down the Road Bike Route on the highway or the longer Adventure Bike Route through bush trails, before meeting up at the Gladstone BBQ Festival in Tannum Sands for the Rolling Show ‘N’ Shine.
