The Boyne Island Lions Club Senior Citizens and Community Morning Tea is set to celebrate their 3rd birthday on Tuesday 13th October as part of Queensland Seniors Month. Held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, the morning tea has become a monthly go-to calendar event for local seniors looking for fun, friendships and community connection.
Setting the tone for a lively morning of Hoy games and delicious food, The Roulettes will be performing live music, having supported the organisation for the past 3 years. The generosity of the Junction Café and Coastline Fashions is unmatched, as both are providing fresh sandwiches and a fashion parade on the day, Little Bit of Sweetness will provide the birthday cake, Hoy will be hosted by Brooksie, chair exercises by local fitness instructor Susanne, and lucky door and raffle prizes will be enjoyed by all. Tannum Meats, Tannum Garden Centre and Woolworths will be making their regular donations to the festivities also, with a morning tea prepared and served by volunteers who rotate each month to share the workload.
