Celebrating Music & Friendship for 60 years

Flash Back – The date was May 26 in 1956 when something wonderful started in Gladstone. A group of keen and talented community members gathered to make music together and it was then The Musical Society officially began. Who would have known that’d be the start of a beautiful group still singing 60 years on.

Fast-forward to the year 2016 and it’s still going. Val Thompson who joined in the 70’s said, “I just love to sing. I enjoy the friendship of ladies who think the same way”. That same joy is echoed by other members like Carole Caird who joined in the 80’s . “I’ve always sung in choirs. I love singing and the choir gives great opportunities to make friends.”
