Three young footballers from Clinton FC’s Under-11 Cardinals recently returned from an unforgettable international experience, representing Central Queensland in the prestigious Borneo Cup in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
Saxon, Jack, and Mitchell joined seven other players from Moura, Monto, and Biloela as part of the Strikers’ Academy, managed by Paul Quarmby and coached by Clinton’s own Shaun Comber. The team’s journey began earlier this year when Quarmby’s call in February set plans in motion for the boys to compete overseas, a dream that required months of preparation and community effort.
