CQUniversity Gladstone: Future Makers Inspires Gladstone’s Next Generation

Students from across the Gladstone region are developing solutions for Queensland’s wildlife and ecosystems through the Future Makers STEM Inventors Challenge. 17 teams from Toolooa State School, Calliope State High School, Chanel College and Faith Baptist Christian School took part in the 10- week program. Students took part in hands-on workshops led by CQUniversity’s STEM Central, including Associate Professor Linda Pfeiffer and Dr Diluka Moratuwage, and gained insights from Associate Professor Carolyn Lundquist from the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC). Future Makers is a partnership between Queensland Museum and Shell QGC together with their joint venture partners, including CNOOC.
