The daffodil, long recognised as a symbol of hope for those impacted by cancer, was proudly on display across Gladstone this Daffodil Day, with local volunteers rallying the community to make a difference.
On Thursday, August 21, the Gladstone Branch of Cancer Council Queensland set up colourful stalls at Gladstone Valley and Tannum Central. With armfuls of fresh daffodils and plenty of passion, volunteers greeted shoppers and passers-by, encouraging them to purchase flowers or donate towards life-saving cancer research.
