More than 50 locals gathered at Ward’s Brewery last week to discuss Gladstone’s energy transition. Hosted by the Queensland Community Alliance and Queensland Conservation Council, the event—”Our Renewable Future: A Gladstone Region Community Conversation”—brought together industry experts and community members.
Speakers included Deputy Mayor Natalia Muszkat, Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union Organiser Kahn Goodluck, and CQU lecturer Dr. Sanath Alahakoon. A key focus was ensuring the transition supports local industry and jobs.
