Gladstone families can now score a win when it comes to easing cost-of-living pressures, thanks to the Queensland Government’s new Play On! initiative. From Monday, 4 August, eligible families can apply for a $200 voucher per child aged between 5 and 17 to help cover the cost of joining local sport and recreation activities.
The Play On! program is designed to ensure more Queensland kids stay active and involved in their communities, while also relieving the financial burden often associated with sport and club fees. The initiative replaces the former FairPlay scheme and will run across two rounds each year to support both summer and winter sports.
