Queensland’s new home sales softened in August but remain close to a three-year high, as buyers continue to turn to new builds amid rising demand for housing.
The latest New Home Sales Report from the Housing Industry Association (HIA) shows sales of new detached homes across the state fell by 6.7 per cent in August 2025. Despite the decline, sales in the three months to August were still stronger than any previous quarter in the past three years.
