The Australian Brain Bee Challenge (ABBC) is the nation’s premier neuroscience competition, designed to test high school students’ knowledge about the brain and its functions. This unique event not only fosters a deeper understanding of the brain, neurological and mental illnesses, and neuroscience research but also aims to inspire young people to explore careers in these fields.
This year, the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) hosted the Queensland State Finals, welcoming students from across the state and as far as the Northern Territory. Among the participants were Toolooa State High School’s Year 10 students, Connagh and Andrei, who had been selected as top achievers after excelling in the first round of the quiz held in March.
