The 2019 NRL season is just around the corner. Gladstone based travel agency Departure Point has been worked closely with Alliance Airlines to put together an exciting package with direct flights from Gladstone to Townsville to see the North Queensland Cowboys take on Melbourne Storm on April 12.
Colin Fort, Chief Executive Officer of Gladstone Airport, said this was a very exciting initiative. “We started talking to Alliance Airlines last year about opportunities to explore a northern flight route,” he said. “Ongoing discussions landed on the idea of testing the water with a charter to Townsville for a Cowboys game. Central Queensland has a strong NRL following, so we are hoping that the package is well supported,” Colin continued.
