Founding Residents Reflect on the Heart and History Behind Bindaree

Three current residents of Bindaree Aged Care, Beth Daly, Beryl Beale, and Fred Brushe, share more than just a postcode. They share a legacy. All three played an instrumental role in the early fundraising efforts and community drive that led to the establishment of Bindaree itself, decades before calling it home.

Beth and Beryl were present at the very first meeting that gave rise to Friends of Bindaree (FOB), a volunteer fundraising group created to support the future aged care facility. Meanwhile, Fred and his wife, a councillor at the time, rallied other locals to join the vision of creating a much-needed care home for the Boyne Valley community.
