The NZEA is consulting on whether the Energy Industry Jobs Plan (EIJP) should apply to the scheduled closure of Gladstone Power Station. The EIJP can place obligations on employers to support workers at a power station, as well as employees in the power station’s supply chain.
Hearing from community, businesses and workers will help NZEA understand:
◆how the closure affects local community
◆whether existing transition support is adequate for impacted workers
◆job opportunities in the region that can support worker transition.
