Stanwell and Quinbrook have taken another significant step in strengthening their collaboration as Queensland advances toward a more secure and sustainable energy future. The two companies have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that grants Stanwell exclusivity over Quinbrook’s proposed Gladstone State Development Area (GSDA) Energy Hub Project, marking an important milestone in the development of large-scale, long-duration energy infrastructure in Central Queensland.
This latest agreement builds on an earlier MoU between the organisations to demonstrate Australia’s first eight-hour EnerQB Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Stanwell Power Station. Together, these agreements form the foundation for a technically pioneering and integrated renewables firming and grid-resilience solution designed to support Queensland’s rapidly evolving energy system.
