Anchored in History: Gladstone’s Maritime Museum Celebrates 5 Years of Stories, Ships & Community 

Gladstone Maritime History Society (GMHS) is a vibrant, not-for-profit organisation powered entirely by passionate volunteers who bring the region’s rich maritime heritage to life. With the valued support of Gladstone Ports Corporation, both the Maritime Museum and the iconic patrol boat HMAS Gladstone are proudly set on GPC parkland, creating a unique, hands-on experience that invites visitors to dive into Gladstone’s seafaring past. 

Every exhibit, display, and story is made possible through visitor support and grants, helping keep this living history thriving. Friendly volunteers warmly welcome guests from near and far, whether you’re a local, an interstate explorer, or travelling from overseas. With something for all ages, GMHS offers an engaging and inclusive experience that captures the imagination of everyone who walks through its doors.
