Four Award winning local artists will feature at this year’s Art Awards: Artist Talks, from 10.30am, Saturday 26 November 2016. This FREE program is run in conjunction with ‘The 41st Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards 2016′ which are currently on display at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum until December 8.
This year’s speakers include:
- Christine Holden: Winner of Section 3: Three Dimensional & Fibre Works, The Gladstone Ports Corporation Award, with her work, ‘Jellyfish Blues’
- Ellie Tregaskis: Winner of The Pieter Groen-int-woud Memorial Young Emerging Artist Award, Sponsored by Multitrade, with her work, ‘Death, what’s next?’
- Sharilee Marr: Winner of The Local Murri Artist Award, Sponsored by Elizabeth and Leo Zussino, with her work, ‘Mining Matters’
