Biloela is set to benefit from a major boost to local healthcare, with Central Queensland Health progressing plans to reintroduce birthing services by the end of June 2026. Building works are well underway alongside active recruitment and the development of a safe and sustainable model of care tailored to the needs of local families.
A recent public information session at Biloela Hospital provided the community with an update on the exciting progress being made. A new family-friendly maternity clinic is currently being constructed in Brisbane before being transported to Biloela. The facility will include two consultation rooms, a welcoming waiting area with a children’s play space, dedicated workspaces, and modern amenities for patients and staff. This new clinic will strengthen maternity support and post birth care for local women and families.
