It’s a topic that can be hard to talk about, but you aren’t alone: it affects millions of people nationally – individuals, friends, families and communities. The 10th of September marked World Suicide Day, a time to recognise and act against one of the biggest silent killers in Australia: suicide. Organisations such as Roses in the Ocean and Blue Tree Project are taking to the community to break down stigmas surrounding mental health, while encouraging locals to “Change The Narrative” around what they wish people knew about suicide.
