After a fall resulting in an ongoing knee issue and medical retirement from race riding, 39-year-old Melissa Taylor has earned her comeback by winning her first race in almost two decades in Gladstone on the 27th of June.
Growing up in Bundaberg with a family involved in the field of horse racing, Melissa completed an apprenticeship under the late Robbie Laing and Mick Price in Victoria before her accident forced her to be absent from the racing world.
