Pet owners, listen up, Council is hosting a discount microchipping day to save money on your furry friends. The discounted Microchipping Day will be hosted at 2 locations on the 21st of May. Council-authorised microchip implanters will be present at Agnes Water Library and Miriam Vale Community Centre for the Discount Microchipping Day, with a discounted price for microchipping of $20 per animal (cat or dog) payable at the time of booking.
The Agnes Water timeslot will run from 9 am-11 am, while the Miriam Vale timeslot is 1 pm-3 pm. Each booking is a 15-minute slot, with the last booking available at 10.45 am (Agnes Water) and 2.45 pm (Miriam Vale). Gladstone Region Councillor Michelle Wagner said microchipping is an essential part of responsible pet ownership that can help reduce annual pet registration fees.
