24 Oct Frocktober
Frocktober encourages women across Australia to channel their creative flair by dressing up in their favourite frocks to raise urgently needed funds for ovarian cancer research projects. Something as simple as the clothes we wear has the potential to spark important conversations, raise awareness and encourage us to discuss what we can do as a community to better support ovarian cancer research.
Meet our very own, local Frocktober superstar, MarilynSteel:
Marilyn has been raising funds for ovarian cancer research for several years and has helped to raise approximately $50,000 over the last five years alone! Marilyn decided Frocktober would be a fun way to continue her fundraising streak and was excited to incorporate her love for fashion into it. Marilyn told Gladstone News Frocktober is a great way to have fun with her wardrobe and involve friends, while raising awareness about ovarian cancer. She believes Frocktober is also a great way to showcase all the lovely places in the Gladstone Region. Marilyn chooses a different theme and location for each day of Frocktober, showcasing her creative flair all around town. You can join Marilyn and thousands of other women across Australia in the Frocktober challenge and help make a difference.
