Gladstone Airport Corporation is advocating for a purpose-built Patient Transfer Facility (PTF) to improve aeromedical operations and provide greater comfort and dignity for patients and their families during emergency transfers.
With over 700 aeromedical transfers per year, the demand for a fit-for-purpose facility is urgent. The proposed $5 million facility would be located on the northern side of the airport, alongside the Airport Emergency Services precinct, reducing noise impacts for nearby residents.
