Local organisation Gladstone Men’s Shed opened its doors to the community for its Open Day, giving residents a chance to see projects in progress, buy surplus equipment and items at its garage sale, and have lunch with members of the organisation.
The Gladstone Men’s Shed has a deep connection with the local community, having been established for 15 years in Barney Point with metal and woodworking facilities, electrical, furniture restoration, lead lighting and technology activities for promoting connection and improving men’s physical and emotional health. They also run an exercise group on Friday mornings from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, with equipment available to help the members keep in shape throughout the week when needed.
