The proposed Hummock Hill Island Development is once again under review, as Eaton Place Pty Ltd seeks an eight-year extension to its existing development approval, which would move the project’s lapse date to 2 November 2032.
The development covers 1,163 hectares at Lot 3 Hummock Highway, Foreshores. The site, accessible via Clarks Road and connected to the Bruce Highway, remains undeveloped and lacks reticulated infrastructure. It is currently zoned Rural under the Gladstone Regional Council Planning Scheme, with multiple overlays limiting development potential.
