After months of planning, collaboration, and community engagement, CQUniversity Australia has officially launched Hydrogen Central—a groundbreaking initiative set to position Gladstone at the forefront of hydrogen and renewable energy research, education, and industry development.
This milestone would not have been possible without the strong backing of government, industry, and community stakeholders. Special thanks go to the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments, as well as Rio Tinto Gladstone and the Gladstone Regional Council, for their financial contributions. The project has also been enriched by valuable in-kind support from Fortescue, Oasis Engineering (2003) Limited, Stralis Aircraft (YC W23), Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), and CQUniversity’s Centre for Hydrogen and Renewable Energy. Their expertise and resources have played a crucial role in bringing this vision to life.
