Major Relief for Queensland: 20% Registration Fee Cut Announced

More relief is on the way for the owners and operators of over 480,000 small businesses in Queensland, along with the jobs of more than one million Queenslanders. The new Miles Labor Government has announced a 20 percent cut in registration fees for light vehicles, a discount that will begin appearing on renewal notices sent to customers starting August 5, 2024.

“This new Miles Labor Government commitment – to slash registration fees by 20 percent next financial year – will be welcomed by those who need to keep the motor running, to keep doing business,” stated Minister for Small Business, Lance McCallum.
