Racing through the cool, foggy morning, Milly emerged into the sunshine as the Queensland State Open Half Marathon Champion, an impressive achievement from the Gladstone local who only had three weeks of preparation, a taper week, and refuelling issues during the race.
Competing in her very first half marathon, Milly led the race from start to finish over the challenging 21.1km course, taking out the State Champion title and showing outstanding composure, determination and strength to cross the finish line.
