Rising race-walking star Milly Sharpe has once again proven her talent, securing a silver medal at the National Schools Track and Field Championships in December. Competing in the U17 5000m race walk, Milly put in an incredible performance, crossing the finish line in 25:31.64—a personal best time that showcases her dedication and hard work.
Her outstanding achievements earned her an invitation to a prestigious two-week training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra this January. Under the mentorship of national coach Brett Valance, Milly had the unique opportunity to train alongside some of Australia’s best race walkers, including Olympic gold medallist Jarrod Tallent and other top-level open and U20 athletes.
