Swimmer Laylah Pimm has once again demonstrated her talent, determination and commitment on the national stage, delivering an outstanding performance at the 2026 Australian Swimming Championships and continuing her rise among the country’s most promising young athletes.
Competing at her third National Championships, Laylah achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for Open Nationals for the first time in her career. The achievement placed her alongside Australia’s elite swimmers, including members of the Australian Dolphins team, and provided an opportunity to test herself against some of the best competitors in the nation. Her Open Nationals campaign began in the 50 metre Butterfly, where she produced a strong swim to finish 44th overall in Australia. She followed that performance with another impressive effort in the 50 metre Backstroke, swimming right on her personal best time to place 57th overall.
