Australia’s new home market eased back in October 2025, but sales remain at their strongest level in three years, with Queensland emerging as the only major state to record monthly growth.
The latest HIA New Home Sales report, a leading indicator of future detached home construction, revealed a 9 per cent national fall in new home sales for October 2025. Despite the dip, sales volumes remain elevated, sitting higher than any month in recent years except for September 2025.
