Gladstone is once again at the centre of Australia’s clean energy transition, with Hydrogen Park Gladstone (HyP Gladstone) making history as the nation’s first full-city hydrogen gas blending project. Operated by the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), HyP Gladstone has been supplying up to 10% renewable hydrogen blended with natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the city since November 2024.
As the region embraces this innovative energy solution, safety remains the cornerstone of the project’s success. Earlier last month, HyP Gladstone opened its doors to showcase the critical safety measures in place — providing a behind-the-scenes look at the stringent protocols designed to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable, and sustainable energy.
