A new educational initiative in the Gladstone Region is redefining what it means to bring learning to life. Six Keys Cattle Co, located 40 minutes south of Gladstone, is a hands-on, immersive farm-based education program offering students a unique opportunity to swap the four walls of the classroom for open paddocks, livestock, and real-world problem-solving.
Known as the “Living, Breathing, Bellowing Classroom,” Six Keys was created by a local educator and farmer who has spent decades working with students across Queensland. The idea was born from a belief in the transformative power of experiential learning. After years of designing and delivering successful career and skills-based programs for young people, Six Keys evolved as a way to blend education with the realities of rural life.
