Welcoming more than 1,000 students and 90 exhibitors from across the Gladstone region and surrounding areas, the Dorrie Day 2026 career expo focused on the theme of “Strong Mob, Strong Futures” as families, students, job seekers, businesses and industry leaders came together to celebrate the varied and valuable pathways on offer in the region for First Nations people.
Hosted by the First Nations Bailia Gurang Gooreng Gooreng Taribelang Bunda People Development Corporation and sponsored by major industry partners, the event took place on the CQU Gladstone campus and saw local businesses and organisations from surrounding areas such as Bundaberg, Calliope and Rockhampton come to offer educational experiences, job openings and industry information to inspire the next generation of Indigenous youth.
