The wait is over for the Gladstone community, with a major upgrade project set to breathe new life into one of the city’s key precincts. Gladstone-based company McCosker Contracting has officially secured the tender to upgrade essential infrastructure and transform a section of Goondoon Street into a more vibrant, welcoming destination.
Backed by $5.3 million in funding from the Australian Government through the Growing Regions Program, Round 2, the project will commence construction in May 2026 and is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
