While the weekend didn’t go exactly as planned, Archie was still happy to represent his State and school at a national level.
The Australian All Schools event is run every year, though 2022 is the first year the event has run since the COVID19 pandemic. To qualify for this event, athletes need to compete at their school sports, then move on to competing at the Port Curtis Trials, to the Capricornia Trials in Mackay, to the School State Championships in Brisbane. Only the top two athletes from each of these events are selected to compete at the All Schools event, with children representing from: Queensland, North Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory.
