Bill Robertson Toyota – Loving Locals for 50 Years!

Bill Robertson Toyota, renowned for their customer experience are proud to be celebrating 50 years as a Toyota Dealer.

Bill Robertson Toyota is a family owned and operated and proudly has as its slogan, “we love locals”.

The Gladstone dealership was formed by Bill and Elizabeth Robertson and two business partners, Ian Lawrie and Lloyd Curtis.

The company started trading on the corner of Boles and Breslin Streets and operated a Toyota agency, International Harvester agency and a petrol station. The business grew with Gladstone and in 1977 moved to its present location on Hanson Road. At the new site the business became solely a Toyota dealership. In 2005 Bill Robertson passed on the reins to son James. James’s wife Erin works alongside him in the business as Marketing and Brand Manager.

James Robertson said, “Our Toyota trained team highly values our customers. We strive to ensure our customers' expectations are exceeded and receive exceptional service every time. We take this very seriously.”

“Our business for the last 50 years has only been as good as our team and we greatly appreciate the work that our team all do. I’d like to also recognise the many team members we’ve had over the past 50 years. We wouldn’t have this business without the support from our family, customers, community partners, fellow businesses and friends. We have always had a strong sense of community and very proud to be part of the community, we really do love being a local!”

In the past couple of years the family have added Lowry’s Auto Body Repairs, now called Fix Auto Gladstone, and Novus Glass Gladstone. These businesses complement the dealership and enable the Robertson’s to look after more of our customers mobility needs.

Bill Robertson Toyota has planted over 10,000 trees/natives for National Tree Day community events at Gladstone, Boyne Island and Tannum Sands over the past 20 years. These events were held in partnership with Gladstone Regional Council and Conversation Volunteers Gladstone.
