The Gladstone Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) is urging the entire community to look at their own role in protecting children.
National Child Protection Week is a week-long event that will run from September 4 to 10 this year, and the Gladstone CPIU wants to stress that child protection is everybody’s responsibility. Thanks to new changes in legislation, failure to protect children from sexual offences and failure to report beliefs of these offences are now included in Queensland’s Criminal Code.
