14 Jul Drive Thru For Gladstone’s Newest Brew
Coffee On Toolooa is now open for business.
The new business at 9 Toolooa Street is a collaboration between Michelle Tenheggeler and son, Blake. Michelle said that the decision to make their café a drive-thru was largely because of the location.
“We found the perfect business for the location. We wanted to offer the Gladstone community a fast, friendly and convenient way to enjoy their morning- or any time of the day, really- coffee. The drive-thru convenience is quickly becoming a must-do in the takeaway industry,” said Michelle.
The pair each have a history in business ownership, with Blake as the current owner of Hire For You, and Michelle working with her husband in their building company Tenheggeler Homes. Michelle and Blake are both long-term Gladstone residents, with Michelle living here since the age of four, and Blake being born and raised here.
“We’ve been researching various coffee brands, and we’re now proudly serving Grinders Coffee Roasters- which is delicious. Everyone needs that coffee to wake up on their way to work, or after you’ve dropped the kids to school.”
Michelle said that the main highlight of operating a drive-thru café is customer convenience.
“Being able to order food and beverages without getting out of the car all day makes it so easy for customers. We wanted to offer an opportunity for workers to call in on their way to and from work to pick up a coffee, or a prepared meal for lunch or dinner, or even a snack- as we are open 7am to 5:30pm weekdays and 7am to 11am on Saturdays.”
