Cox Plate Race Day

The Cox Plate Race Day is held each October in Melbourne and  is a thoroughbred horse race for horses aged three years old and over, under ‘weight for age’ conditions, over a distance of 2040 metres.

Each year our very own Gladstone Turf Club holds a Cox Plate Race Day with local races happening at the track this Saturday the 22^nd of October.  Bar, bookies and TAB will all be running, with it expected to be a great day out and the last race meeting before the summer heat starts to set in.
