29 Jul CQ Psych Services celebrates 3 years in business
For the team at CQ Psych Services, the past three years has been about growth, in more ways than one.
“We’ve proudly expanded our team, our services and our clinic, recently moving into a much larger location,” Director and Principal Psychologist Suzie Humphrey said at the practice’s third birthday celebrations in July.
What started with Suzie and her Business Manager in part-time capacities, evolved quickly into a full-time psychology practice, employing both clinical and non-clinical staff within six months.
“We were met with unexpected rapid growth, and now we are an amazing team of nine, all committed to and passionate about providing high-quality psychological care to our local community,” she said.
The demand for mental health services around the country has increased rapidly according to Suzie, particularly in the last 18 months.
“It is most evident in regional locations like Gladstone, where the demand for service far outweighs the service capacity,” she said.
“One of the biggest challenges we face as business owners in the mental health sector is attracting good calibre clinicians, which has proven difficult in our region.
“While support in terms of appointment availability can be difficult to navigate for people, our team is doing our part to ensure a variety of support can still be sourced for those in our local community.
“CQ Psych Services offers a number of free electronic resources available to the community, and we encourage access to these resources through our website.”
Suzie said she would like to thank everyone who helped support CQ Psych Services over its past three years in business, including her team, their family, and friends.
“Lastly, but certainly not least I would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful clients, and the wider Gladstone Region community,” she said.
“Our continued growth and recent expansion would not have been possible without your support, which is much appreciated.
“Here’s to more great years in business and supporting our region.”
